Beautiful Alpine wine with flavours of passion fruit, pineapple, mango and caramel.
One of the “Best Italian white wines for summer” – Decanter magazine, 2022
Gewürztraminer is a highly aromatic grape used to produce beautifully fragrant wines. This excellent example was awarded a remarkable “two glasses” from Gambero Rosso, and three stars from I Vini di Veronelli. The grapes for this wine were harvested by hand in a family vineyard in the foothills of the Alps. The juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to conserve the delicate aromas. The wine has a very expressive flavour, enlivened by high levels of acidity, and will definitely benefit from ageing and development in the bottle.
Pale lemon colour. On the nose, it has pronounced fragrant aromas of passion fruit, pineapple, mango, melon and pear, with hints of biscuit and sweet caramel. The wine is dry, with high acidity and an expressive intensity of flavours that balances its high level of alcohol. A very long and pleasant finish in the mouth with lingering fruity flavours.
Decanter Tasting – 92 points, tasted by James Button (2018 vintage) | Gambero Rosso 2020 – 2 red glasses (final tasting) | I vini di Veronelli 2020 – 3 stars (90 points) | Vinibuoni d´Italia 2019 – 3 stars

Kat777ie –
A medium dry white with a crisp, fresh flavour. Delicious medley of flavour. Good by itself. Perfect for a lazy afternoon in the sun!
