Packed with flavours of grapefruit peel, panettone, candied orange and honey, this aromatic Gewürztraminer is like Italian Christmas in a glass
Kurtatsch makes this top-of-the-line Gewürztraminer Riserva from the very best grapes. It offers a rich and complex taste of honeyed citrus fruits and dried apricots. This Gewurz has an enormous ageing capacity of twenty years, during which the flavours will continue to evolve in the cellar.

Winemaking
Grapes are crushed, cooled with dry ice, and left in contact with their skins for 3.5 hours to extract colour and flavour. The skins are then removed and the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruity aromas. Next, the gross lees are filtered out and the wine ages on fine lees for a year, where it takes on the taste of sweet pastry. The wine ages in large oak barrels for another six months, before finishing its maturation in bottle; where its complex flavours fully develop.
Tasting notes
Medium gold colour. On the nose, this Kurtatsch Riserva has delicate aromas of ripe pear, grapefruit peel, honeysuckle, panettone, honeycomb and apricot stone. This wine if off-dry, with a touch of sweetness, high alcohol, a smooth texture and a full body. Each sip is packed with concentrated flavours of grapefruit, honey, candied orange and dried apricot, leading to a long finish.
