Crema di Nocciole is a smooth paste made of hazelnuts and chocolate, a traditional delicacy from Piemonte. It’s a perfect treat for dessert or even breakfast. Hazelnuts from Piemonte are praised for their rich flavour and often said to be the best in the world. When we tasted this artisan Crema di Nocciole, we totally fell in love with it because of its succulent taste of real hazelnuts and soft, creamy texture. So we decided you should have a chance to enjoy it too!
This “crema” was crafted by Nocciole d’Elite – a small, family-owned hazelnut farm and artisan production run by Emanuele Canaparo. Emanuele’s hazelnuts are produced to the highest quality standards of the Nocciola Piemonte IGP regulations. Nocciole d’Elite has 25 hectares of hazelnut trees of the Tonda Gentile delle Langhe variety. The estate is located near the comune of Cravanzana, in Alta Langa, which is about 10 km west from the borders of Barolo DOCG.
This artisan delicacy is produced in very small quantities, and we feel very lucky to be the first company to offer it in the UK. We were introduced to Emanuele Canaparo by Paolo Demarie, an award-winning winemaker and producer of Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
