An multi award-winning red blend in the Super-Tuscan style with notes of dried cherry, smoke and wild herbs

This wine is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon made in the Super-Tuscan style. Sangiovese is a delicate grape with aromas of dried red raspberry and cherry, which is easily overpowered by the powerful black fruit of Cabernet Sauvignon. Luckily Dino Dini, the winemaker at Siddùra, has found the perfect balance – proven by the amount of medals won by this wine. It is made from the best grapes, which were harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24-26 °C, before being matured sur lie to develop flavour complexity and texture. Finally, it was aged in large oak barrels to develop gentle scents of cloves and spice.

Located in the north of Sardinia, Siddùra is recognised as one of the highest-achieving Italian wineries. As well as planting Sardinia’s signature grapes, Cannonau and Vermentino, they also grow Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Every year since 2013 they have won Decanter Gold, Silver, Bronze and Platinum medals – as well as countless awards in Germany, Belgium, Austria and other countries.

Tasting notes: Deep ruby colour and intense aromas of dried cherry and blackberry jam, spice and smoke, with hints of wild herbs specific to the terroir. Dry, full-bodied, velvety flavours of red and black fruits, with firm tannins. An excellent balance with a long finish.
