Francone Barbaresco DOCG Gallina Cru 2017
As seen in The Independent (Indy Best / Best Buy). This Barbaresco comes from a cru-vineyard in Neive, and has won both Decanter Gold and Silver Medals. It has a deep ruby colour. On the nose, the wine is rich and complex, with pronounced aromas of fresh strawberry, raspberry, almond and liquorice. It also has well-integrated notes of tea leaf, coffee and leather.
K. Martini Maturum Lagrein Riserva | Gries Cru | Alto Adige DOC 2018
As seen in The Guardian. This dark and powerful Lagrein comes from the Gries cru, and tastes of sweet black cherries, Darjeeling tea, black pepper and dark chocolate.
“…a hit of vibrant black fruit, elegant floral notes, peppery spice, a hint of aniseed and great length.” David Williams for The Guardian (15 November 2020).
Peter Zemmer | Pinot Grigio Riserva Giatl | Alto Adige DOC
As seen in The Independent.
“Aromatic, with notes of passion fruit and elderflower, it bursts on to the tongue with a textured fruitiness balanced by a measured acidity. Pinot grigio has never tasted so good.” – John Clarke for The Independent (4 June 2021).
Peter Zemmer Riesling | Alto Adige DOC 2019
As seen in Forbes. Sharp and fresh Alpine wine with flavours of white flowers and tropical fruits
“From a winery that has existed for over 90 years comes this Riesling with aromas of honey, green apples, lemon drops and even pine needles. In the mouth this is full and creamy with tastes of Bartlett pears, green apples, gooseberries and yellow plums. The racy acidity is slightly cloaked beneath a veneer of sweetness, and the length includes minerality.“” – Forbes (5 October 2020)
Francone “I Patriarchi” 2018 | Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC
As seen in The Guardian. An elegant and complex Barbera, flavours of fresh raspberry, cherry and vanilla.
“This version of barbera, sourced from two south-facing vineyards, is so alluring, its deliciously tangy cherry and savoury notes taking you straight to the rolling hills around Alba.” – David Williams, The Guardian (16 April 2020)
Rubinelli Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2016
As seen in The Independent.
“A small boutique winery but a very different type of wine: light in colour and body, with dried cranberry and pomegranate flavours, a delicate touch of chocolate and a hint of pepper; really beguiling and interesting.” – Terry Kirby for The Independent (14 August 2020)
NB: when the current vintage sells out, we will swap if for the next vintage.
