Rubinelli Vajol
The Vajol estate is located in the historic area of Valpolicella Classico, 12km east of Lake Garda. It has a shape of a horseshoe, with vines planted on hills forming a south-facing amphitheatre. The first records of Vajol date back to 1635. Gaetano Rubinelli, the famous engineer who built a hydro-electric power plant on the river Adige, purchased it in early 20th century. The estate has 10 hectares of vineyards, a fruttaio (an indoor drying loft for Amarone), and an underground cellar.
The Rubinelli have their own distinct style of winemaking. They produce elegant wines with finesse, bursting with taste of fresh red fruits.
